Mykola Tomenko: If the Authorities continue the Current Humanitarian Policy, then Billboards might show not only Nickolay II, but also Stalin and Beria
Today, Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, together with People´s Deputy Valerii Dubil presented the book "All about the Museums of Chernihiv Region", published within the national campaign "All about All Museums of Ukraine" held by M.Tomenko´s Fund "Ridna Kraina." According to the organizers, the primary goal of the campaign is to inform the educational establishments of Chernihiv region about the main public and municipal museums of the regions, their exhibitions, and entry discounts for pupils and students. "Our key goal was to provide all schools, higher education establishments, and libraries of Chernihiv region with the guidebook on the regional museums," M.Tomenko informed.
Asked about the state humanitarian policy, Mykola Tomenko admitted, "There is no official Ukrainian humanitarian policy, as it is not clear what governmental official is responsible for it."
Mykola Tomenko believes that the lack of Ukrainian humanitarian policy results in different radical and inadequate initiatives of far right and far left political forces. He informed that in Kyiv region, the billboard with the President of Ukraine who calls for loving Ukraine is placed near the portrait of the Russian Tsar Nickolay II. "If the authorities continue the current humanitarian policy, then billboards might show not only Nickolay II, but also Stalin and Beria," he warned.
